Fuel stations add a surcharge of about 1% on card payments. Many cards refund it on transactions within a range, commonly ₹400 to ₹4,000 or ₹5,000, up to a monthly cap. GST on the surcharge is usually not refunded.
A waiver only cancels a cost; it is not a reward. Fuel cards co-branded with an oil company add points or cashback on top.
