Common Questions

How does a missed-call balance check work?

Call the bank's number from the mobile number registered with your account. The call cuts off by itself after a ring or two, and the bank sends your balance by SMS within a minute or so.

Is it free?

Yes. The call disconnects before it is answered, so nothing is charged, and banks do not charge for the SMS.

It did not work. Why?

Usually because the mobile number is not registered with the account, or the account needs registering for missed-call banking first. Some banks ask you to send an SMS once to register; your bank's site explains how.

How do you keep these numbers right?

Every week we check each number against the bank's own page and show the date it was last found there. Where we do not have a bank page to check against yet, the row says so.
