What Is Cashback?

Money a card credits back to your statement as a percentage of what you spend.

Credit Cards

Cashback is simpler than reward points: 1% back is ₹1 for every ₹100, credited to the card account. Rates are usually higher at partner merchants and lower or zero on fuel, rent, utilities and wallet loads.

Most cashback cards cap what you can earn each month or each statement, so a high rate on a small cap can be worth less than a lower flat rate.
