AU NOMO is a secured card. You keep at least Rs 10,000 in a fixed deposit and get a credit limit equal to it. Because the bank relies on your deposit, it is easy to get and a practical way to build a credit score.
The only cost is a ₹199 joining fee. There is no annual fee. It earns about 0.5% in reward points, half that on utility bills, plus 500 bonus points on every Rs 25,000 spent in a quarter. The forex markup is just 0.99%, low for any card.
You get 2 railway lounge visits a quarter, and 2 domestic airport lounge visits a quarter once you spend Rs 50,000 in the previous quarter. It suits new users and budget travellers. The catch is the modest reward rate and a lounge condition that is high for a secured card.
Best for: First-time credit users, People rebuilding a credit score, Budget international travellers, Frequent rail travellers.
