The MILES PRIME earns travel credits, SBI's points for flights and hotels. You get 4 credits per Rs 200 on travel and 2 per Rs 200 on everything else, which works out to roughly 1% and 0.5% in value. New cardholders get 3,000 credits after spending Rs 60,000 in 60 days, and another 10,000 at Rs 8 lakh of spend in a year.
The fee is ₹2,999 a year and is waived only at Rs 10 lakh of annual spend. That is a high bar. Most people will pay the fee, so the lounge visits and milestone credits have to cover it.
It suits regular flyers who spend heavily on travel and will actually use 8 domestic and 4 international lounge visits a year. The honest catch is the modest base rate. If you do not travel often, a simple cashback card will return more.
Best for: Frequent flyers, People who spend heavily on travel, Travellers who want Priority Pass access.

Good for
- Travel: 1% back
- Spending ₹83,333 or more a month: the ₹3,539 fee is waived
- Flyers: 12 airport lounge visits a year
Skip it if…
- you spend less than ₹83,333 a month (₹10,00,000 a year, rent and wallet loads not counted): the ₹3,539 fee is then charged
- most of your spending is fuel, utility bills, rent or insurance: those earn nothing on this card
- you pay mostly by UPI: a Visa or Mastercard card cannot pay by UPI
- you spend a lot on government payments: the card's terms do not state a rate there, so we count nothing
- you rarely spend on travel: the 1% rate applies only there, everything else earns 0.5%
- you sometimes pay only the minimum due: interest of 3.75% a month (45% a year) outweighs any reward
