The Miles Elite earns 6 travel credits per Rs 200 on travel and 2 per Rs 200 on other spends, roughly 1.5% and 0.5% in value. New cardholders get 5,000 credits after spending Rs 1 lakh in the first 60 days. It is also UPI enabled.
The fee is ₹4,999 a year and is waived only at Rs 15 lakh of annual spend. Very few people will reach that, so treat the fee as a cost. The lounge access and a 1.99% forex markup are what make it worth paying for someone who travels abroad.
It suits frequent flyers who spend a lot on flights and hotels and travel overseas a few times a year. The catch is the low return on everyday spends. For a person who flies once or twice a year, the fee will outweigh the benefits.
Best for: Frequent domestic and international flyers, High spenders on travel, People who pay in foreign currency often.

Good for
- Travel: 1.5% back
- Spending ₹1,25,000 or more a month: the ₹5,899 fee is waived
- Flyers: 14 airport lounge visits a year
- Spending abroad: 1.99% markup, most cards add 3.5%
Skip it if…
- you spend less than ₹1,25,000 a month (₹15,00,000 a year, rent and wallet loads not counted): the ₹5,899 fee is then charged
- most of your spending is fuel, utility bills, rent or insurance: those earn nothing on this card
- you pay mostly by UPI: a Visa or Mastercard card cannot pay by UPI
- you spend a lot on government payments: the card's terms do not state a rate there, so we count nothing
- you rarely spend on travel: the 1.5% rate applies only there, everything else earns 0.5%
- you sometimes pay only the minimum due: interest of 3.75% a month (45% a year) outweighs any reward
