The ShopRite is built for grocery shopping. Groceries earn 20 points per Rs 100, about 5% back, capped at 1,000 points a month, which is Rs 250. Other spends earn 1 point per Rs 100, about 0.25%, and fuel earns nothing. You get 2,000 welcome points and 10% off movie tickets on BookMyShow.

It costs Rs 500 to join and Rs 500 a year, and the fee is waived once you spend ₹1,50,000 in the year. If you max out the grocery cap each month, the fee is covered twice over.

It suits households who buy groceries on card, and first-time users, since the income needed is low. The catch is the cap. Past about Rs 5,000 of grocery spend a month, you earn almost nothing extra.

Best for: Families with a monthly grocery bill, First-time card users, Low-income applicants.
