The Select card earns 5 reward points per Rs 100 on utility bills, dining and online purchases, and 1 point per Rs 100 on other retail spends. Points are worth about 20 paise each, so that is roughly 1% and 0.2% back. There are 500 bonus points after Rs 5,000 of spend in 60 days.
The fee is ₹750 a year, waived at ₹70,000 of annual spend. That is about Rs 6,000 a month, which most people who pay bills on the card will clear.
It suits salaried users who pay utility bills and order online and want free accident cover of up to Rs 15 lakh. The catch is the low point value. Even on bonus categories the return is about 1%, with a monthly cap, and the 3.5% forex markup is high.
Best for: People who pay utility bills by card, Online shoppers on a budget, Diners who want some rewards.

Good for
- Online shopping: 1% back, up to ₹200 a month
- Dining: 1% back, up to ₹200 a month
- Spending ₹5,833 or more a month: the ₹885 fee is waived
Skip it if…
- you spend less than ₹5,833 a month (₹70,000 a year, rent and wallet loads not counted): the ₹885 fee is then charged
- most of your spending is fuel, rent, insurance or education: those earn nothing on this card
- you pay mostly by UPI: a Visa or Mastercard card cannot pay by UPI
- you spend a lot on government payments: the card's terms do not state a rate there, so we count nothing
- you rarely spend on online shopping or dining: the 1% rate applies only there, everything else earns 0.2%
- you often pay in foreign currency: 3.5% is added to every foreign spend
- you sometimes pay only the minimum due: interest of 3.75% a month (45% a year) outweighs any reward
